One of the easiest professions for someone is to become a writer, in fact although there are many starving writers out there, anyone can do it. With modern day spell-check it makes it easy. Even a non-writer can quickly become a writer in a few months. Many people often brag that they are writers and you probably consider them of a high intellectual category or IQ. Sure some are, but that is hardly a requirement at all.
Anyone can become a writer and it is by far the simplest professions in the world to do. For instance I am not a writer at all, yet you are reading this article right? Why? Why are you reading this article? Because it is here; like a mountain, so you read it. If you want to improve your skills as a writer, well that is easy too. With practice and 3-6 months you can be pounding out articles and get to the point that you might even be able to write that book you have been considering writing?
Writing is easy and many people have become writers, why just look at all the libraries filled with books, each one, someone had to write, right? Sure they did and if they can do it, then you can too. What if Writing Were Any Easier? Well, if it were any easier then everyone would be doing it. So start writing, but don’t tell anyone how easy it is, as they will never know this secret if you do not tell them. And they will think you are really smart and important, because soon you will be a writer too. That might look good on your resume, what do you think?

Simply put, professional writing must make sense. A well-written piece of work, no matter the genre or purpose, should flow well, make a statement, and most of all, be clear. One of the greatest difficulties of writing is the concise and relevant presentation of one's ideas. Clear writing, however, represents good preparation; taking the time to construct an outline is almost always reflected in a polished, accessible writing project.
Attempting to write without an outline is like painting a house without first removing the old paint: it will look all right for a little while, but fairly soon the chips and cracks will show. Before setting pen to paper for the opening sentence, it is imperative to ask: What is my main idea? How can I support my argument? What evidence do I have? How will I conclude? A good writer always knows how the piece might end; a mediocre writer views the writing process as an exploratory journey with a surprise at the end of it.
A strong outline guides the writer along a clearly demarcated path, allowing little room for unnecessary excursions. Often, a writer becomes side-tracked by a peripheral or tangential point (which can often be interesting, but unnecessary); an outline helps keep the writer on task. A writer who works without an outline can be tempted to overcompensate for poor planning with elaborate explanations or by using a free hand with the thesaurus.
Remember: professional writing is writing you don't notice. It is simply a conduit for ideas-not a showcase for flowery language.

Finding the right word to express an idea or an emotion has always been the writer’s nemesis. Seldom does the word chosen seem right.
To chose the right word the writer must be convinced of his or her own feelings. Unless the writer is sure of how he or she is convinced of an idea, or how he or she understands an emotion it is impossible to choose the exact word to express that idea or that sensation.
It follows that the writer’s sentiment about the idea or feeling must be intense and sincere. If they are then the words to express it genuinely and honest will come. But this does not mean that they do not require revision and circumspection. Each word must be thought of carefully and explored for naturalness.
This search delves into the writer’s experience, vocabulary, and then the thesaurus, but this is to recall words that have been experienced and are part of the active vocabulary. Words that are part of the passive or known vocabulary should not be used, as they do not have the familiarity of the active vocabulary.
The dictionary should not be used to find the right word unless it is used to augment the knowledge that the writer already has about the word. Just as the dictionary should not be used to dig up the right word, the thesaurus should only be used to recall the right word that is a part of the active vocabulary.
The right word must always be experienced before it should be used.
